ReplyDeleteIt's an article where they interview Ray's father, who is a famous businessman in Xiamen. He's dubbed 'Lee Ka Sing' of Xiamen.
ReplyDeleteHe narrates a little on his family background, his father and his philosophy in life. He also mention about Ray.
He said at first when Ray decide to enter entertainment business, he was a little disappointed. Later he decide to let Ray choose and support him. His only advise to Ray is that he has to withstand hardship, start from the bottom.
His father constantly worried for Ray because he does not get enough rest. There's one time where he saw Ray falling asleep while riding a horse, he was afraid that Ray will accidentally fall off. Instead, Ray told him that it's a way for him to catch some sleep, already grew accustomed to it. (speaking about catching sleep, i remember seeing a clip in TOB where Ray fell asleep while putting makeup on. Funny).
Even though Ray tried hard to prove himself, his efforts were often undermined by his family background, making him depressed. His father encouraged him by telling him a story (I'll post it when I get the exact translation) - people critisizing him means that he's getiing noticed, surely he will be successful soon.
Now that both Ray and his father are famous in their own right, it's kind of difficult for their family to go out together in public, with people staring & all.
