Unconfirmed: Modern drama 《今天的她們》

Rumours swirling since June that Charmaine is going to participate in Chinese modern drama 《今天的她們》(directly translated as Ladies Today, English title unavailable), as one of the 3 female leads. Other female leads rumoured to be Song Yi and Li Chun. 

The story revolves around 3 ladies career, romance and struggles using the theme of restaurant business. Filming is expected to start later this month in Beijing and Chengdu.

Based on the character description, it's likely that Charmaine's character will be Zhang Ai, a famous  F&B venture capitalist from Hong Kong. Her aggresive method in expanding her restaurant in Chengdu brought her at odds with the two other female leads who run an established Chinese restaurant "Chuan Bai Lou" in the same city.  

Let's hope the production announce the casting soon to see if Charmaine's really casted. She did mention in interviews that she is considering modern Chinese drama that is female eccentric. This is a trade up from Dr Tang, and a good decision from Charmaine and her team, in my opinion.
