Charmaine Sheh absent from TVB new artistes pictorial
[Singtao 20/3/2011]
For the last two days, netizens circulated the upcoming cover of TVB magazine, featuring the pictorials of their 44 contracted artistes. With the exception of Roger Kwok, artistes showed off their new images by revealing their bare skins. However, artistes who are rumored to leave the company such as Charmaine Sheh, Joe Ma, Bowie Lam and the 'freezed' Amigo Chui were not included. On the cover, TVB featured 12 of their most promoted siusangs and fadans. It was speculated that TVB released the pictures earlier in weibo to quell the rumors of artistes leaving in batch.
Before this, there were rumors indicating that Charmaine and TVB were unable to reach an agreement in her contract renewal. With the current release of TVB artistes' pictorial, it seems that her relation with TVB has worsened. Netizen 'Jump' said: "The first thing I noticed is that there are no Charmaine Sheh, and also Bowie Lam." Netizens also point out the difference between the 'In' and 'Out' group.
Charmaine denies worsening relationship with TVB
Regarding her absence from TVB magazine, Charmaine expressed in telephone interview: "I coincidentally injured my arm during the time when TVB is shooting for the pictorial. Miss Lok (Virginia Lok) did ask me to shoot and said that she will arrange for me to take pictures later. However, since the other artistes have finished shooting, there's no reason to have everyone wait for me. Therefore I didn't shoot the pictorial. This has nothing do to with my contract with TVB."
On the other hand, TVB spent over 7 figure sum to shoot the pictorial for their management artistes, inviting professional stylist SK to design the new images for their 150 artistes. TVB executive Virginia Lok explained that as they did not shoot any pictorial last year, they kept using old pictures for their artistes. She revealed that SK had 5 days for the shoot; therefore TVB tried their best to accommodate their artistes' schedule to fit in. They will be arranging a second batch later. (Does the first batch represent the most promoted artistes?) Virginia replied: "This has nothing to do with it. 150 artistes is a lot, therefore we shoot the ones with available schedule first. Previously Tavia Yeung, Kevin Cheng, Charmaine Sheh and Bowie Lam were not in Hong Kong, we will definitely have arrangement for them."

TVB is sure realistic...
I thought it is also decided she is leaving and will sign per contract basis? So naturally her face isn;t in the list. What's the big deal?
ReplyDeleteFans are not making this a big deal, it's expected anyway. Just lmao-ing at TVB excuses why some rumored to leave stars are not taking pics...
