Double nomination for Charmaine Sheh in "Favorite Female Character Award"

TVB Award 2009 is going to be held on December 4th and will be giving out awards for 15 categories including Best Actor and Actress Award. The nomination lists were revealed at the press conference yesterday. Nominated artistes such as Sheren Tang, Wayne Lai, Charmaine Sheh, Moses Chan, Bowie Lam, Ada Choi, Wong He, Linda Chung, Bosco Wong, Aimee Chan etc attended the event.

Stephen Chan was there to present the certificate of recognition to nominees. For the Best Actress category, only Sheren, Charmaine and Ada went onstage. Carol Cheng was dissatisfied with the poor turnout and said: "Several actresses could not make time to come today, but they will attend the anniversary award… hopefully." People below the stage couldn't suppress their laughter.

Charmaine was regarded one of the popular choice for Best Actress award. She was also double nominated in the Favorite Female Character category for her roles in [Beyond the Realm of Conscience] and [You're Hired] respectively. She is the only artiste who received two nominations in the same category. It is unknown if Charmaine will be able to repeat her year 2006 feat by winning both categories, but Charmaine herself have never thought of repeating history. She smiled and said the results back then shocked her. She also said that she didn't feel that there is any special arrangement in the nominations. In addition, there are tough competitors this year including '4th Mistress' Sheren Tang, Anita Yuen, Tavia Yeung etc. Instead, Charmaine is worried that her votes will be dispersed since she is nominated twice in the same category.

Recently there are reports indicating that Anita resents Charmaine. Asked if she will feel awkward seeing Anita, Charmaine expressed that there is no awkwardness at all. She hopes that the media will not create stories further and indicate that she would like to collaborate with Anita in the future.
