Will The Legend of Xiao Chuo 《燕云台》premiere in November 2020?

 

Yesterday, news spread on entertainment accounts on Weibo that The Legend of Xiao Chuo aka Yan Yun Tai (YYT) is set to premiere on both Beijing Television (BTV) prime time and online streaming platform Tencent starting Nov 2nd, 2020. This is great news because it's hard for costume drama (with historical setting especially) to be broadcasted on TV because China govt limited the amount of episodes for this genre of drama on TV. To be able to get broadcasted on TV network means more exposure for the drama and its casts. As of today, the drama official account has yet to verify the news. However, from the screenshots of BTV proposal to advertisers above, seems quite legit. 

Are you excited for Charmaine's character and performance in YYT? Don't forget to support the series if you have Tencent TV account. Stay tuned as the drama might be purchased by overseas stations as well. In fact, Hong Kong TVB already did!

p.s. Charmaine bumped into Tiffany Tang during one of her photoshoot last week and posted on her Weibo so I believe YYT is near as casts will usually drop teasers and gears up on social media posting as the premiere approaches.
