Kevin Cheng and Charmaine Sheh resumed filming [Beyond the Realm of Conscience] at TVB City yesterday. Earlier Charmaine was photographed by a tabloid sitting in the passenger seat of rumored boyfriend Kevin's car, which she denied afterward. However when she was interviewed by reporters, she changed her statement and admitted about it, even indicated that couples started as friend and asked reporters to force Kevin to make a stand.

Yesterday reporters questioned Kevin regarding his 'underground relationship being exposed', does that mean he's preparing to make it public? Kevin said: "It's the same old story. I can only give the same answer every time. I would like to thank the tabloid for allowing me to be on front page again. However the timing is incorrect, they should wait and write something like this when [Beyond] is airing so that we could save on promotional expenses." Kevin straightforwardly said: "I don't understand why giving a ride could also be featured on front page, I have hitched plenty of rides from other artiste's car, among them Myolie Wu."

Please give me some space

When will he reveal about his personal relationship then? Kevin answered: "I've already said this many times, I will introduce my bride when I get married. As for now I'll just maintain my usual attitude. (Charmaine want you to express?) She hasn't asked me. (Charmaine told reporters to ask you whether you have intention to pursue her?) Huh! So amusing? Wait until she asks me personally; have to wait for the time to ripe. I repeat again, whatever I need to say I have already done so. Thank you for everyone’s concern. I hope everyone to give me some space."

Why is he evading? He said: "I've always been consistent in my attitude, I've never changed. I feel that everyone needs space. If you want me to hurry up and get a wife, the give me some space!" Have you reached mutual agreement with Charmaine? He stressed again: "I have always meant what I answered, no need for mutual agreement. If there's any mutual agreement, we should have done so two days ago!"

Incompatible astrology? [It's alright]

Mentioning Fengshui Master Mak Ling Ling indicating that their astrology is incompatible and will affect their marriage, Kevin smiled: "This is too early to say, it's alright for friends. (Mak Ling Ling also said that Charmaine will find her Mr Right next year?) You seem to believe in Mak Ling Ling very much. I've said whatever I need to say. I will introduce my future wife when it's time to get married."

Regarding Charmaine denying hitching a ride on his car and then changing her statement, Kevin strongly supported and said: "If my mum asked me whether I have a difficult time filming, I will answer that I don't feel difficult. (Did your mum ask if you are dating?) Only my mum and I know."

Afterward, reporters conveyed Kevin's intention to Charmaine. Charmaine have a big expression and laughed: "I've never said so, don't frame me! I only said leave things to fate, we are just colleagues."

Stupid doggies, stupid reporters! Though I hate tabloids, I detest local dailies such as The Sun and Oriental Daily (same company). They always use repulsive words in their headlines and content. At least Mingpao, Wenweipo and sometimes Singpao have a more balanced report. That's why I often avoid translating The Sun and Oriental if I can get the same information from other dailies.

Anyway enough of my ramblings. The reporters are so 'busy' with the gossips that they did not cover the filming. Yesterday Charmaine, Kevin, Moses and Vivi are filming a garden scene where [Spoilers: Charmaine bumped into Moses while picking flowers for her demised mother. Vivi, a palace maid attempted to assassinate Moses and Kevin came to the rescue.] There's a TVBE clip interviewing Moses, Kevin, Charmaine and I will post it here once it's available. I also heard a shocking spoiler in TVB mag about Charmaine and Moses in the series, but it's not verified therefore I won't reveal it to avoid distressing fans. If you know how to read chinese, the spoiler is at the bottom right caption.

Earlier Charmaine Sheh was photographed going into Marina Cove in Kevin Cheng's car, which she later denied. Yesterday she was asked about her reconciliation with Kevin and she admitted taking a hitch that day, but emphasized that they are friends. Whether they will progress into a couple depend on fate.

Yesterday Charmaine came prepared to answer reporters regarding the the picture of her in Kevin's car. When asked if she is admitting reconciliation, she questioned back: "Why? I said reconciliation in filming, I don't mind." Why are you not wearing the pink cap today? "I have caps in different colors at home." So you admit it's you in the car? "Doesn't resemble me? If I've known earlier I won't tell then. He's giving me a hitch to catch taxi, I do not remember if we passed by Marina Cove." Asked why did she deny this earlier and turned her face away in photograph, Charmaine expressed that she has yet to read the tabloid and explained that she was interviewed by an unfamiliar reporter, therefore she purposely refused to co-operate as she was worried of being written nonsense.

Charmaine frankly said that she wouldn't purposely avoid hitching a free ride on Kevin's car. Discussing their relationship, Charmaine left an opening: "Every couple started from being friends. We are still friends at the moment. Please give us some space." Do you feel he is too boring? "Please don't talk that way about him." Too many choices? "You have good recommendation?" Afterward she diverted the topic to their filming in series, such as appreciating flowers, releasing lanterns and having meals. Asked if Kevin is pursuing her, Charmaine once again diverted to filming series: "In the series, yes. Outside the series, no. Do you feel disappointed when I said we are not dating? You should go ask him then, leave everything to fate."

A bit shocked that Charmaine chose to take initiative to reply regarding the car incident, considering what have happened two years back (poor Ron, just a simple hitch to harbor got him into much trouble).

Charmaine Sheh and Kevin Cheng have always denied their rumors. Recently a tabloid pictured them going to Marina Cove. Kevin chauffeured Charmaine in his new car and drove into Marina Cove, suddenly speeding up when he noticed suspicious vehicles parked outside. As for Charmaine, she lowered herself and turned her face away. Kevin and Charmaine both wore black and pink caps, the same one they wore to Anniversary Gala rehearsal last year.

Charmaine and Kevin's rumors seem to be never ending, there were different versions, some say Charmaine dumped Ron to be with Kevin. There was also report of Kevin braving level 8 typhoon to drive Charmaine back to his house, causing his car to be stuck in the water and had to ask villagers to push his car. Afterward a villager exposed online that Charmaine was in the car, ending Kevin and Niki Chow's 5-year underground relationship.

However, earlier there were reports that Charmaine has broken up with Kevin due to his boring personality, another version said that they have gone underground. It was until recently where they both collaborate to film [Beyond the Realm of Conscience] that Charmaine jested with reporters that she will 'reconcile' with Kevin for 3 months. They must not have expected to be caught by tabloids.

The report also indicates that both of them denied the rumors as usual during FILMART exhibition at HKCEC. Charmaine said she never took a ride on Kevin's car. Apart from driving her own car, she will take the company's minibus for outdoor filming. Kevin said that his rumors with Charmaine are like repeating the same old stuff again, therefore he will not respond. Reporters tried to contact them again but have not received responses.


Virginia Lok doesn't believe that Charmaine and Kevin are secretly dating

Rumored couple Kevin Cheng and Charmaine Sheh was reported to have broken up earlier but recent report indicate that Kevin secretly chauffeured Charmaine, meaning that both of them are dating in secret. Reporters attempted to call them but have not receive feedback to date. TVB executive Virginia Lok expressed that she doesn't believe they are secretly dating: "Don't believe it, but you can go ahead and ask them. They are colleagues and filming series together, taking a ride in same car and having meals together are fine."

Since Charmaine and Kevin's rumors in September last year, they kept denying about it. Reports indicate that they are extremely cautious and rarely photographed appearing at each other's home. However TVB is taking open-minded approach and created them as onscreen pairing in new series [Beyond the Realm of Conscience].

Earlier Kevin expressed in interview that he is not worried of rumors as one need to be mentally prepared working in this field. Recently Kevin carelessly allowed to be pictured with another person sitting next to him in the car, and that person is Charmaine. Hence their underground relationship was exposed. Yesterday reporters called Charmaine and she said: "I have not seen it, no comment." As for Kevin, he was busy filming [Beyond] therefore there's no response from him yet.

I've read the tabloid (it's that crappy Sudden Weekly) and apart from the so-called picture they plastered in the frontpage, they have no picture of them together in private at all. Even Apple Daily made a mistake in their news report, it's not rarely, but never have Charmaine pictured appearing at Kevin's place or vice versa.

And the funniest thing is, you cannot see the faces in the frontpage picture. If it's a white vehicle I can also say they're Raymond and Linda. Update: Okay, Charmaine said it was her in the car, but not dating lah... will post her interview tomorrow. Her reply is funny, hehehe.

I heard from HK friends that the tabloid sold out last evening after it was published. Another proven fact that Charmaine's news indeed sells and she is indirectly their 米饭颁主 (source of income). So doggies, don't bite the hand that feeds you.

[The Sun 25/03/2009]

Sonija Kwok was bitten by her foreign maid yesterday, creating debate among artistes. Good friend Sharon Chan was shocked and said: "That maid is really vicious! I was stunned after hearing it! I feel that she is not suitable for this job, she should return and cool down in her country." As for Charmaine Sheh, she said: "I knew about the incidence and try to call Sonija but she did not pick up the phone. This incidence is considered a blessing in disguise*. As for Michael Tao who gave negative comments about Sonija earlier could not be contacted for comment.

*不幸中鮋大幸 Meaning it's fortunate to escape with minor scathe in such dangerous situation

Sonija's good sister Charmaine Sheh found out about the attack and said: "The most important this is she's not harmed. I will call and ask about her condition. This is completely unexpected and she must be terrified. She's smart to call the police and escaped from danger."

That maid was mentally disturbed... apart from biting Sonija's arm she also held knife at them and pushed Sonija's mother. Hope Sonija get well soon.

Charmaine's younger brother Darce have recently gotten married on March 9th. Because of filming commitment, Charmaine could only arrive at the wedding dinner around 7pm. When the couple started marching into the hall, Charmaine was so touched and couldn't stop crying. She told relatives: "Daddy passed away early, I picked up the responsibility of a father since young. I am so happy seeing him (Darce) getting married!" Charmaine's good friend in the entertainment field Catherine Chow Ka Yee also attended the dinner.



Congratulations to Charmaine's family! Wishing Darce and his lovely bride 永結同心.

p.s. On a sidenote, Rainbow (Charmaine's assistant) have resigned because she wanted to do her own business in Guangzhou. She left a goodbye note to Charmaine fans. All the best Rainbow!

TVB 2009 grand production series [Beyond the Realm of Conscience] and [Born Rich] cast attended FILMART HKCEC yesterday to promote their series. [Beyond] cast such as Michelle Yim, Tavia Yeung, Moses Chan, Charmaine Sheh, Kevin Cheng etc. even appeared in their costumes. Gallen Lo, Jamie Chik, Ray Lui etc. represented [Born Rich].

Even though rumored couple Kevin and Charmaine collaborated again in [Beyond], there has not been any new rumors between them since the series started filming. Kevin said: "Yes, it was expected. It's not for sure though, everyone has been filming smoothly." How about his collaboration with Charmaine? He said: "So far so good!" Reporter point out that it might be covered by other news, he answered: "Yes! Maybe because there are other news that diverted the attention, which is a good thing." Will he be worried that after the other news passes, it will be his turn to have rumors again? "Not worried, I don't mind. I've already expected that." Has he communicated with Charmaine about this? He indicated that he have not and trust each other to understand as there are many kinds of news out there and rumors are media's favorite topic. Regarding reports saying that he is ignoring Charmaine, Kevin expressed that he won't bother as there's different version of news every time, previously they were rumored to have broken up. He's not sure about the current development and joked that he should go update himself a bit.

Discussing about the absence of rumors with Kevin, Charmaine expressed that she did not film many scenes with Kevin. Most of her scenes involved fighting with other ladies. However, she expressed that they did not purposely evade each other and worked as usual. She joked that there were some rumors earlier, therefore it's already considered as having rumors. She is glad that there are no rumors this time and all the female cast get along with each other.

Moses called his hairstyle as [Pineapple Bun]. He indicates there will be a scene with 40 palace maids and they are all very beautiful. He joked that the higher level concubines should be a lot more impressive. When asked if he would like to be Wai Siu Boh (lead character in Duke of Mountain Deer, whom had 6 beautiful wives) and film bed scenes, he joked that he like that too and would like to try out the role of [Playboy]. Will he ask Bernice Liu to join the cast? He smiled and said no problem, as long as there will be plenty of beautiful girls, at least 20 of them.

It's been quite some time since we last saw Charmaine and Kenix together. How time flies! If I'm not mistaken, Charmaine has never filmed any series with Kenix before... hope they will have a chance to collaborate in the future.
