Raymond Cho (曹永廉) and Elaine Chiang (姜依蘭) finally tied the knot today after a five year romance and an evening reception was held at the Kowloon Renaissance Hotel in Tsimshatsui, attended by many celebrity guests.

42-year old Raymond will become a father soon as his 33-year old bride showed off her bump with pride and still looked beautiful in her silver-grey and gold evening gown. Their baby is due in two months time, so the wedding was kept simple with no games, no best man or bridesmaids and just the traditional tea ceremony for their parents and elders and an official marriage ceremony with a registrar. However, the marriage was still an emotional affair and the couple admitted that there were a few tears when they presented their parents with tea.

With Raymond's many years of working in showbusiness and the veteran status of Elaine's parents, John Chiang (姜大偉) and Maggie Li (李琳琳), there were many famous faces present at the wedding reception, including Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼), Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎), Frankie Lam (林文龍), Bobby Au Yeung (歐陽震華), Lee Si Kei (李司棋), Susanna Kwan (關菊英), Paula Tsui (徐小鳳), Joe Ma (馬德鐘), Connie Chan (陳寶珠), Liu Jia-Chang (劉家昌) and Patrick Tse (謝賢).

Raymond was asked if he was nervous and he said that he has been so excited recently that he has had to have a few drinks to send him to sleep. As for how much he has spent on the wedding, he said that it is not a very luxury occasion and the 38 tables cost a six figure sum. He added that they will not be going on a honeymoon because they will not want to leave the baby after he or she is born.

Master Liu was asked about the condition of his good friend Lydia Sum (沈殿霞) after her re-admission to hospital. He replied that she was only there for a check-up and he had spoken to Lydia's daughter, Joyce Cheng (鄭欣宜), who had confirmed that Lydia was now back home. Maggie revealed that they had intended to invite Joyce and Lydia to the banquet, but with Lydia's poor health, she did not want to disturb them.

Charmaine said that she has been busy filming recently, so she has not had time to buy the couple a gift and has given them a lucky packet instead. Asked if she was tempted into getting married herself, she said that she would prefer to enjoy other people's weddings first and be happy for them. She also revealed that she has been at TVB for ten years now and originally she was to attend a presentation ceremony to be presented with a long service award, but she did not attend because she chose to go to Raymond's wedding instead.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Congrats to Raymond! Hope he have a blissful marriage and a lovely baby on the way. Charmaine only stayed for half an hour because she had to rush back to film FH2. She actually volunteered to film her part that night so that the rest of her co-stars can attend the wedding without delaying the filming progress.

Charmaine & Raymond friendship goes back years when they filmed HSDS2000. They were paired up in that series as Chow Chi Yuerk (Charmaine) and Song Ching Shu (Raymond).

p.s. Didn't know that Elaine (Raymond's wife) is Charmaine's ex-kindergarten friend!
